R.I.P - Beautiful Faces of The Dana Air Crash

I was at home yesterday, babysitting the kids when I got the call from Ben, a friend.
A plane had crashed into my parent's neighborhood three bus stops away from our family home.
So saddening.
I give glory to God though because my baby brother was planning to come home from Abuja by Dana Air. He's changed his mind now and decided to go by road.

Since all over the net the news is no longer news, I don't need to talk about what happened. But I went round trying to find out who and who was on that ill fated plane. These pictures I came across drew tears to my eyes...such promising faces...lives cut short by the tragedy...generations wiped out in an instant...

May we never see such again. Here they are...

In everything God has to be given the glory regardless of the circumstance. However this is somewhat of a harsh reality check for all those who take their day by day living for granted and have not realigned themselves with God. Death can come at anytime without warning devoid of a selective process. It is sad when people so dear to us leave us in such tragic circumstances. But such is life. Death must come to bring forth new life. It is the gateway to an eternity that we all must face!!!!!

'Death is inevitable.' This has made my think deeply about this saying. For me, this tragedy has left me sad, it has also made me realise that no one is invincible. Its time to reconcile with our creator for we do not know the date nor time we shall leave this world. Pray for the dead and for yourselves too. We all need prayers. Lord have mercy and rest their souls in perfect peace.Amen

Our nation is pathetic, we are more fictional than real. I can't just comprehend why a nation will nonchalantly and carelessly kill its young; its future. Our leaders are hardly bothered once things doesn't affect them directly and the followers are too fearful and impassive to cause a change; both (leaders and followers) of course are corrupt, shallow minded and easily forgetful. With time, I know this too will pass, like the ones before it and not much will be done to avert the loss of lives in future...the lives of innocent Men, Women and most especially Children who are all nothing but victims of circumstances, just like the ones above. My heart weeps not just for these souls but for Nigeria in general.

I Feel for the families of these people and their loved ones, because i know that no amount of compensation monetary or otherwise can quantify their loss. I pray God be with them all.

I dnt knw hw I'll evr board an aircraft again. how can dis beautiful faces go wen some of us r still here? May their souls RIPP.

Anonymous said...

we can never imagine the minds of those in the plane. we won't ever want to be in their shoes. i am a fan of dana air line. i have never entered any other airline apart from dana in nigeria. i know the face of one of their air hostess from her sweet smile she has ready made for every eye contact with all passengers. we all (not just the unfortunate ones)trusted our lives to the management of dana air but this goes to show the greed, unsatisfaction of material wealth of the management dana air. sending young.... young.. and so very little ones who only wanted to continue the positive impact they were making in their lives and lives of others no matter the number. there is no one that has not lost a life of a loved one...but still this is disatrous. it's too...sad. i only can pray for the families, friends to pray for the souls of their beloved ones to have their way to paradise away from the earthly evil hunger of unsatified men..and women who only care for their pockets and not for the lives of fellow men... and may dana air line not be among the list of airlines in nigeria again. Amen.

I really don't know what to say, because I'm very angry and at the same time deeply sorrowful and teary. I wish these cute and innocent ones could have been saved somehow. They didn't deserve the sacrifice they were used for. They didn't have to pay the ultimate price all because of inordinately greedy Nigerians.

May their souls and the souls of all those whose pictures are not shown here rest in the peace of God! May God grant all the affected families the fortitude to bear the loss. Amen!!!

Nigerians should stop killing innocent people!!!!!!!!!!! Stop experimenting with human lives!!!! You're really pushing the Almighty God to the wall. Don't ever try this again!!!! This is a warning to all those wicked and greedy Nigerians out there that bring old and discarded aircraft into the country and clear them for take off when they are anything but flight-worthy. STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Felix Chuma said...

I truly understand how you feel, Fatima. It's such a shame that certain Nigerians are so inordinately greedy that they have no sympathy in their hearts, otherwise they wouldn't have cleared that aircraft for take off when they knew full well that it was anything but flight-worthy.

My attention is now on the Nigerian state and ALL those who are holding the jugular veins of my homeland. The ONLY prayer in my mouth is that God shall visit the homes and families of all those who have brough my country to its knees. They will end their lives in penury and shame. Their names and heritage shall come to ruin and they shall not be celebrated. ALL sympathisers with empty-headed politicians will suffer the fate that befalls their godless idols. I don't care who goes around collecting votes in the name of God. They are hypocrites!!
